Carrie Underwood, 38, Flashes Her Toned Legs In A High-Slit Dress

  • Carrie Underwood, 38, just flashed her sculpted legs at the CMA awards.

  • The singer rocked a nude, sparkly dress with a thigh-high slit that totally showed off her defined legs.

  • Carrie says working out relieves her stress and eats a vegetarian diet to stay in such great shape.

Carrie Underwood turned up the heat at the CMA awards this November with a totally unexpected look. The singer, 38, showed off her toned legs on the red carpet in a nude, barely-there dress covered with rhinestones.

The gown has a thigh-high slit that reveals a peek at Carrie’s long, lean legs and only one sleeve, so her defined arms are on display, too. And while Carrie may be known for her impressive music career, she’s just as dedicated in the gym (clearly!).

So, just how does Carrie get killer legs like these? She’s shared all of her top fitness tips and more:

Nothing motivates the “If I Didn’t Love You” singer more than setting a goal in the gym. “I have to set goals for myself: ‘Every 15 minutes I’m going to hit 1.25 miles, then by the end of an hour I’ll have run 5 miles,'” she told Women’s Health.

Carrie also explained that working out boosts her mood. For her, sweating isn’t just about physical health—it helps her manage stress, too. “I’d love to sit in a bubble bath, but that’s not going to happen. My self-care is my gym time, and that’s a stress reliever for me,” she said. “Physical fitness makes everything else possible.”

Carrie doesn’t follow a diet, but she knows what works best for her body. She describes herself as a “wannabe vegan” who eats like a vegetarian. Some of her go-to foods include green smoothies, egg-white scrambles, and tofu.

To keep herself on track throughout the day, Carrie tracks her calories and macros (a.k.a. the amount of protein, carbs, and fat she eats) using the MyFitnessPal app. Through trial and error, she’s found that her perfect balance is 45 percent carbs, 30 percent fat, and 25 percent protein.

And sometimes, Carrie unwinds at the end of a long day with her favorite treats. “I do have my vice,” she says, “and it’s red wine. It’s good for my heart, right?!” Dark chocolate is her number one dessert—she usually indulges while watching The Bachelor.

(Someone hook her up with a Neil Lane sparkler already!)
