Hayes, who will perform on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m., has been making waves in the country music scene in recent months with his Grammy-nominated song “Fancy Like” from his fifth EP, “Country Stuff.”

“I cannot wait to celebrate the 150th fair with you guys,” Hayes said in a video announcing his appearance on the Colorado State Fair Facebook page.

“Tickets are going to be on sale soon so don’t wait to get those. Let’s go!”

Lady A, formerly Lady Antebellum, will perform alongside special guest Priscilla Block on Friday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m.

“We want to wish the Colorado State Fair a happy 150th birthday!” Lady A singer Hillary Scott said Tuesday.

“And we’ll be there to celebrate with you guys,” said Lady A guitarist Dave Haywood. “Y’all come out and see us. We’ll celebrate together.”

Gaffigan, whose uproarious brand of family-friendly comedy has earned him six Grammy nominations for Best Comedy Album, is scheduled to perform on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 5 p.m.

“I’m super excited to be coming to the Colorado State Fair,” Gaffigan said. “Can you believe it? It’s going to be the 150th anniversary. I remember the first one like it was yesterday so, it’s crazy. Tickets on sale soon.”

150th year

The fair will take place in Pueblo from Aug. 26 through Sept. 5 at the Colorado State Fairgrounds, 1001 Beulah Ave. It will feature food, music, entertainment and activities for people of all ages, from carnival rides and games of chance to a wide range of performances and rodeo competitions.

The 2022 fair will also feature special firework shows and a themed sand sculpture celebrating its 150-year milestone.

“Our state has a great history of coming together to enjoy food and music and competition, exhibits and rides and (celebrating) agriculture for 150 years,” Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said Tuesday.

“Join me and my family at this year’s state fair, celebrating the Governor’s Plate, testing cuisine and produce from across Colorado and celebrating Colorado agriculture.”

Hours for this year’s fair will be slightly different from past years, as the fairgrounds will be open to the public from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday and Labor Day.

Tickets can be purchased at coloradostatefair.com. Adult gate admission tickets will be $8 if purchased prior to Aug. 26 and $14 if purchased after that date.

Concert tickets are sold separately and go on sale to the general public on April 1 at 10 a.m. They can be purchased online at etix.com, by phone at 1-800-514-3849 and in person at the Colorado State Fair Box Office. Concert tickets purchased through August 25 include fair general admission.
